SelectPin

Enum SelectPin

Source
pub enum SelectPin {
    Idle,
    Selected {
        anchor: PinId,
    },
}
Expand description

Per-pin selection. Entered by single-clicking a pin (its name, stub, or tag); the clicked pin becomes the standing target for edits. While selected, only that pin shows its tag-visibility overlay (eye / “+”), its stub and tag render brighter, and the block’s other pins are dimmed — so it stands out the way a selected route does. The per-pin edits hand off to focused tools that each return here when done, so the pin stays selected:

  • drag it → MovePin
  • double-click the name → RenamePin (Name)
  • double-click the type → RetypePin
  • double-click the tag, or press the “+” button → RenamePin (Tag)
  • click the red stub → cycle the pin’s I/O type in place (stays selected)

Only ever holds a child block’s pin; ports keep their block-style ResizeBlock selection.

Variants§

§

Idle

Placeholder for mem::take; never a resting state.

fn widget<C: Canvas>( &mut self, data: &mut Drawing<'_>, interaction: &Interaction, painter: &mut Style<'_, C>, ) -> Option<Transition>

Source§

fn preview<C: Canvas>( &mut self, _data: &mut Drawing<'_>, _interaction: &Interaction, _painter: &mut Style<'_, C>, _phase: &PreviewPhase, )

Advance this frame’s drag state and preview the geometry it implies. Runs before Self::widget paints, on every frame of a drag — including one carrying no event at all, which is what a repaint mid-drag looks like.
Source§

fn overlay_anchor(&self) -> Option<Pos2>

A world-space point the selection overlay should anchor to, overriding the selection’s bounding box. A route spans a wide bbox but is picked at one spot, so its overlay anchors at the click instead of the whole polyline.
Source§

impl TryInto<SelectPin> for Tool

Source§

type Error = &'static str

The type returned in the event of a conversion error.
Source§

fn try_into(self) -> Result<SelectPin, <Self as TryInto<SelectPin>>::Error>

Performs the conversion.
